Internship Opportunities

Texas Appleseed is pleased to offer internships for our various project areas and departments including Communications, Research, Community Outreach, and Development, during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Please send the following to internships@texasappleseed.org:

What do interns do?

Interns do the same work that staff do.

  • Researching (legal and non-legal)
  • Drafting and editing
  • Brainstorming
  • Participating in community organizational gatherings
  • Legislative advocacy

Expectations

  • Outstanding research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work at least 10 hours per week during Spring and Fall Semesters; For Summer, at least 30 - 40 hours unless otherwise specified

Dates for Spring 2023

  • Anytime between January 2023 - April 2023 for at least 8 weeks
  • No split semesters

Due to COVID-19, we will accept remote interns. Interns are also welcome in the office dependent on their supervisor's schedule and dependent on the safety precautions set for the office.
