LGBTQ+

LGBTQ+ youth face unique challenges and are significantly more likely to experience homelessness. This enhanced risk of experiencing homelessness has serious consequences on their mental and physical health. Oftentimes these youth are kicked out of their homes and lose their support system, housing, and access to food all at once. That is why it is critical that youth have access to resources like our Rainbow of Resources brochure, which has information to connect youth with LGBTQ+ friendly organizations that can help them find shelter, support, and more.  We also work to educate lawmakers on the specific challenges LGBTQ+ youth face and how they are at risk for homelessness, with the goal of preventing them from experiencing homelessness.
